LEARN THESE AS FAST AS POSSIBLE IN YOUR FIRST MONTH ON BOARD SHIP:-
1. Familiarize with ship’s office – read all circulars, posters, policies on each bulkhead.
2. Familiarize with bridge – do same as point no.1.
3. Familiarize with engine room – do same as point no.1.
4. Be respectful and obedient to all ratings and officers.
5. No job is small, don’t compare with other batch mates.
6. Learn and ask questions in drills and meetings.
7. Learn to read and understand plans and drawings.
8. Don’t go any new place alone.
